Kaspersky Lab researchers discovered recent attacks against Asian financial and government organizations leveraged a zero-day vulnerability in the InPage word processor. InPage is a word processor for languages such as Urdu, Persian, Pashto and Arabic, and is widely used in Asia by media companies, academies, libraries, banks and government organizations. Kaspersky Lab researcher Denis Legezo explains in SecurityWeek just how cybercriminals can control the instruction flow and achieve code execution of InPage.
