Kaspersky: Weak Passwords Persist Despite Consistent Internet Threats - The VAR Guy

Creating a strong password continues to be an issue for consumers, a Kaspersky Lab study shows. Kaspersky Lab and B2B International teamed up on research that found that in the last 12 months, 25 percent of Internet users had at least one of their online accounts hacked. These intrusions led to the loss and theft of personal data. The research is a reminder to people using the web to conduct transactions not to slack when it comes to passwords, which still hold strong weight in keeping would-be malicious actors out of Internet accounts.
