Kaspersky: Security More Complex for Health Care, Financial Services - The VAR Guy

A new Kaspersky Lab survey shows IT professionals in the financial services and healthcare sectors are more likely to struggle with virtualization security concerns than any other vertical. When surveyed, about half of all those administrators admitted security concerns hindered their adoption of virtualization technologies, mostly because of the number of already complex compliance policies in effect.

In its survey of 3,900 IT professionals worldwide, Kaspersky found 50 percent of respondents from financial services said security concerns hindered their adoption of virtual technologies, while 49 percent of healthcare industry professionals answered similarly. The global average for other respondents including industrial sectors came in at 43 percent. Read more.
