Woburn, MA – August 3, 2017 – In the latest ICSA Labs verification test, Kaspersky Lab’s Anti Targeted Attack Platform achieved a 100 percent threat detection success rate. These results underline the advanced level of threat detection that the solution offers enterprises, including those businesses with even the strictest cybersecurity requirements.

ICSA Labs Advanced Threat Defense (ATD) testing covers vendor solutions designed to detect new threats. Each ATD test cycle subjects the product in question to hundreds of test runs, comprised of a mix of new threats, little-known threats and innocuous applications and activities. In brute-force style, these threats are continuously launched one after another.

During 37 days of testing and 1,104 test runs, Kaspersky Lab’s Anti Targeted Attack Platform caught all 585 malicious samples and reported zero false positives, demonstrating flawless threat detection effectiveness against nearly 600 new and little-known threats. This is the third consecutive quarter in which the Kaspersky Lab product has met the ISCA Labs ATD certification testing criteria – and this quarter, the Anti Targeted Attack Platform demonstrated the best results.

Leveraging leading security intelligence and advanced machine learning technologies, Kaspersky Lab’s Anti Targeted Attack Platform combines network and endpoint monitoring, advanced sandbox technology and threat intelligence-driven analysis to correlate different events and prioritize incidents to help reveal and recognize targeted attacks. With one in four businesses experiencing a targeted attack in the last 12 months1, the need for organizations to have effective threat detection systems in place is now more crucial than ever.

“ICSA Labs is one of the recognized leaders among independent testing institutions, which is why taking part in this test is very important for us,” said Oleg Glebov, anti targeted attacks solution business lead, Kaspersky Lab. “Beating our previous 99.44 percent success rate with a 100 percent score this quarter and zero-level of false alarms is an excellent result. It shows that next generation technologies, such as intelligent behavioral analysis and protection systems based on machine learning algorithms, allow Kaspersky Lab’s Anti Targeted Attack Platform to defend customers from a multitude of threats every single time, no matter what form the attack takes.”

ICSA Labs (International Computer Security Association) is an independent subsidiary of Verizon and has been testing and evaluating cybersecurity solutions since 1989. Detailed results of Kaspersky Lab’s Anti Targeted Attack Platform evaluation can be found here.
