Call for Papers open until June 1 for ICS conference taking place in Sochi, Russia
Woburn, MA – March 29, 2019 –Kaspersky Lab has opened its call for papers to be submitted and showcased as part of its Industrial Cybersecurity Conference, taking place September 18 – 20, 2019. Industrial cybersecurity experts from all over the world can now put forward their research findings and stories on the topic of operational technology (OT) cybersecurity, with the opportunity to present them to delegates at the conference.
The cyber-protection of industrial operating systems is a concern for organizations around the globe. A recent Kaspersky Lab report found that more than three quarters (77%) of companies believe their organization is likely to become the target of a cybersecurity incident involving their industrial control networks. To help ICS business executives and security professionals find the best approach to address this concern, the Kaspersky Industrial Cybersecurity Conference is a platform to discuss cybersecurity trends and the threat landscape.
The conference will take place on September 18 — 20 in Sochi, Russia, gathering hundreds of OT security practitioners, cybersecurity managers, control system engineers, critical infrastructure professionals, media and analysts. Kaspersky Lab invites industry experts to be a part of the show and present their OT security research, incident response cases, or innovative approaches to the cyber-risks facing the industry.
Papers can be submitted until June 1, 2019. The application form is available at the conference website. Those whose submissions are selected by the conference committee will have their conference trip expenses covered.
In 2018, the Kaspersky Industrial Cybersecurity Conference gathered 250 participants from 20 countries, along with 40 speakers that included well-known industry experts and leaders of industrial organizations, such as Marty Edwards (International Society of Automation, ISA), Edward Marszal (Kenexis), Patrick Miller (Archer International), and Miguel Garcia-Menendez (iTTi).
