Woburn, MA – July 17, 2019 - Eugene Kaspersky recently delivered the keynote lecture at one of the of the top three schools for Executive Education and leading MBA programs in the world – INSEAD – where he presented the concept of “cyber-immunity” and its importance in building a safer world. The CEO of leading cybersecurity company Kaspersky told students, graduates and professors about the current threat landscape and explained how to address the challenges of industry 4.0 and the rapid proliferation of IoT devices.

In the current landscape, sophisticated technology plays a crucial role, and just one cyber incident can potentially turn into a disaster. Today, cybersecurity is not just the responsibility of IT specialists, but one of the main concerns for leaders of numerous businesses of all sizes across all industries. Experience shows that a public data breach may also adversely affect the careers of those working in top management roles. That’s why, at the c-suite level, companies must understand cybersecurity issues and become more engaged in threat management.

Eugene arrived at the INSEAD campus, located in Fontainebleau, France, to meet with MBA students and speak to the people that are likely to create their own companies that play a crucial role in cybersecurity. The future of business worldwide, in which everything is digital and interconnected, will depend on them.

During the lecture, Eugene shared his company’s expertise in confronting cyberthreats and the actors standing behind them, and described a fundamentally new approach to building a safer world. He touched upon where cybersecurity is heading as the fourth industrial revolution evolves. The fourth industrial revolution means that everything everyone does is computerized, with machine-learning systems used widely in various fields of activity. Today, cybersecurity is about more than just protecting endpoint devices – it is about developing an ecosystem where everything connected is protected, and all the systems are secure by design. Kaspersky calls such a concept “cyber-immunity.”

“I believe that today, knowledge in the field of cybersecurity is more necessary for businesses than ever,” said Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky. “Cyber-immunity is the right answer to the challenges of the current reality, in which technology connects everything across different platforms. I was glad to speak to the audience of one of the world’s leading business schools, INSEAD, and share our brand-new vision of building a safer world. Such a dialogue with current and future business representatives is necessary today, whilst we are glad to observe that top management commitment to cybersecurity has significantly increased.”

INSEAD, the business school for the world, is consistently ranked among the top five MBA programs in the world by the Financial Times,Bloomberg Businessweek and Forbes. Furthermore, the business school regularly inspires and supports new startups by investing in developing an extraordinary entrepreneurial environment for its MBA students.

“At INSEAD, we believe business can be a force for good and are committed to our mission of developing responsible leaders who transform business and society,” commented Peter Zemsky, deputy dean and dean of innovation at INSEAD. “Cybersecurity plays an important role in carrying out this mission. It is truly a pleasure to learn about the concept of cyber-immunity from Eugene Kaspersky – a world-renowned cybersecurity expert and the CEO of one of the leading international companies operating in the field of cybersecurity.”
