Woburn, MA – July 25, 2018 – Today, Kaspersky Lab unveiled the latest version of Kaspersky Security Cloud, an adaptive security service that goes beyond traditional antivirus to safeguard consumers from any digital threats that they encounter. In addition, the company released updated versions of its flagship security solutions for home users, designed to protect consumers against cyberattacks while also safeguarding their privacy, money, memories and more.

Every person is unique, and so is their online behavior. Therefore, consumers need customized security solutions that will defend against the various threats that they face in their individual digital worlds. To address this need, Kaspersky Lab experts invented and patented adaptive security technology. Adaptive security offers customized protection tailored to individual user needs, based on their online behavior, devices, location and more.

Kaspersky Security Cloud is a service that combines adaptive security with all the best elements of the company’s flagship solutions, including market-leading antivirus detection engines, to deliver the highest level of protection. The product operates according to a distinct security-as-a-service approach. Rather than being installed separately on each device, the solution is activated through the My Kaspersky portal and then linked to all of the user’s devices.

The company has also released new versions of its premium offerings, Kaspersky Total Security and Kaspersky Internet Security, with performance enhancements designed to increase ease of configuration and detection efficiency. The company’s essential products, Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Free, have also been updated with functions to protect consumers against the newest and most advanced cyber-threats.

In addition to the advanced cybersecurity protection offered by all of Kaspersky Lab’s security solutions, a unique benefit of Kaspersky Security Cloud is that the product can behave like an “adviser” that suggests actions users can take to reduce their security risks. For example, if a user logs in to a public Wi-Fi hotspot, Kaspersky Security Cloud will prompt the user to turn on a VPN to ensure that cybercriminals cannot intercept data transmitted over the insecure network. Simultaneously, if the solution detects a data breach on a website frequently visited by the user, it will issue a warning and recommend a password change.

“Today, people’s digital lives are much more than just one device connected to the internet,” said Brian Anderson, vice president of consumer sales, Kaspersky Lab North America. “We are constantly connected across a variety of devices, meaning that security in the digital world is now just as important as safety in the physical world. Kaspersky Security Cloud was designed around the idea that cybersecurity solutions must be responsive to individual behaviors and environments, in order to combat the increasingly complex threats facing consumers every day.”

Kaspersky Security Cloud is available in three versions – Free, Personal and Family. The Free version responds to a limited number of adaptive security scenarios, and it includes one account and three devices. The Personal version provides full service functionality for one account and five devices, and is $99.99 for one year of protection. The Family version covers up to 20 accounts and up to 20 devices, and is $149.99 for one year of protection.

Limited-time, introductory pricing for a five-user license for one-year period of Kaspersky Total Security is now $49.99, regularly valued at $99.99. A standard subscription – three user licenses for a one-year period – is $39.99 for Kaspersky Internet Security, regularly $79.99, and $29.99 for Kaspersky Anti-Virus, regularly $59.99.

Kaspersky Security Cloud, Kaspersky Total Security, Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Anti-Virus are available for purchase now on Kaspersky Lab's online store and in select retail outlets in the U.S. and Canada.
