Smartphones can indeed be hacked via public USB-charging ports found around public facilities such as airports, parks and coffee shops, says Kaspersky Lab. Kaspersky Lab proves a reported USB-charging cyber attack works—even if the phone is locked. It warns against using untrusted charging points, computers and the ways in which cell phones can be compromised.
