KGSS Appoints Cynthia James as General Manager

Washington D.C. – January 7, 2015 –KGSS, a subsidiary of Kaspersky Lab North America, today announced the appointment of Cynthia James as General Manager. In this role, Cynthia will be responsible for developing the strategic business vision for KGSS and exploring tactical partnerships that will provide the organization’s unique cybersecurity services and solutions to U.S. government, U.S. government contractors and the U.S. National Critical Infrastructure sector.

Prior to joining KGSS, Cynthia served as the Global Director of Business Development for Kaspersky Lab, where she spent eight years engaging and managing OEMs and ISVs. During her tenure, Cynthia worked with multinational companies like Blue Coat, Juniper, LANDESK and Kaseya to integrate Kaspersky Lab technology across a multitude of product lines. She has more than 25 years of experience in technology management and cybersecurity, serving with companies like Packeteer, NEC and Santa Cruz Operation (now SCO Group).

In addition to her extensive experience, Cynthia has also earned a CISSP certification in 2011, and is the author of Stop Cybercrime from Ruining Your Life! Sixty Secrets to Keep You Safe. Cynthia holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is also working on a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Strategy and Information Management from The George Washington University.
