Kaspersky Small Office Security Receives Top Score Among Competitors in AV-TEST

Woburn, MA – August 19, 2016 – Kaspersky Lab’s small business solution, Kaspersky Small Office Security, has been recognized as a “Top Product” in testing conducting by independent IT security institute AV-TEST. For the third time¹ it was the only solution tested that achieved the maximum possible score - six out of six - in all three test categories: protection, performance and usability.

The independent IT security institute, AV-TEST, compared 13 endpoint protection products for businesses using Windows 8.1 Professional 64-Bit. During the testing, which was conducted in May and June 2016, experts implemented realistic scenarios to challenge the products against real-world threats. Each product had to demonstrate their capabilities using all components and protection layers.

AV-TEST experts evaluated the average influence of the product on computer performance when launching popular websites, downloading, installing and launching frequently-used business applications, and copying different files. Kaspersky Small Office Security was tested on its ability to block widespread malicious malware (16,735 samples used) and zero-day, web and e-mail threats (163 samples used). It was proven as a solution with a minimal performance affect, while providing 100 percent of protection rate. AV-Test saw no false positives and almost all of the indicators were well above the industry average.

As a result, Kaspersky Lab’s solution for small business scored the maximum possible 18 points, topping the list and receiving the ‘Top Product’ award:
