The 2016 Kaspersky Lab Corporate IT Security Risks survey found that only 36 percent of small businesses (up to 50 employees) worldwide worry about their staff’s carelessness leading to a cyberattack, while more than half of medium-sized businesses (53 percent) and large enterprises (51 percent) consider it a concern.
Woburn, MA –October 26, 2012 –Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of security and threat management solutions, is pleased to announce that Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 was ranked as the best performing product in the Home Anti-Virus Protection category of Dennis Technology Labs’ comprehensive assessment of Internet security suites. Including products from eight top security vendors, the independent testing was conducted in the summer of 2012 and placed the Kaspersky Lab’s then-current product as the leader in its class.
The overall score for the Kaspersky Lab solution was an impressive 390.5 out of a possible 400 – the highest score among all home user solutions tested, earning Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 Dennis Technology Labs’ top AAA award.
The testing focused primarily on the ability of each software suite to protect users from real-life Internet threats. Each product was pitted against known malicious websites to check how effectively the products prevented users from accessing these dangerous sites. The tests also evaluated each product’s ability to detect and neutralize threats trying to infect the system, and for removing malware from already-infected systems.
The results of this test placed the Kaspersky Lab’s solution in first place with a near-perfect score of 298 out of 300 – the average for all products tested was less than 240. Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 was the only product that successfully prevented all threats from compromising the system, scoring 100 out of 100. The analysts also carried out false positive testing, in which blocking a legitimate application was deemed more serious than issuing a warning. This was not an issue for Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 which generated a small number of false warnings without blocking legitimate software, scoring 92.5 points out of 100.
As the Dennis Technology Lab testing concluded in August, Kaspersky Lab announced the latest versions of its consumer software for 2013. The current version of Kaspersky Internet Security includes all the protection and features evaluated by Dennis Technology Labs, and includes new enhancements. Two of the most notable enhancements in Kaspersky Internet Security are Safe Money - Kaspersky Lab’s unique technology designed to protect the user’s money when shopping and banking online – and Automatic Exploit Prevention – which monitors and protects against vulnerabilities in out-of-date programs installed on your PC.
