Quotes:
Howard Schmidt
Former White House Cybersecurity Coordinator

“Today’s global cybersecurity landscape is constantly evolving as new threats, dynamics and attack techniques continue to emerge. As our world continues to develop and expand its technological innovations, complexity and security risks will increase in parallel. Federal decision makers and public officials must continue engaging with IT security professionals and defense experts to understand our points of weakness and secure them by integrating protective technologies into our global and domestic IT security infrastructure.”

Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and Co-Founder
Kaspersky Lab

“Right now the world's critical infrastructure is extremely vulnerable. Developing and implementing secure solutions to mitigate risk will be much more efficient with up leveled public-private synergies. The private sector has the know-how and tools and technologies needed to provide the full picture of the threat landscape. We need to work together to protect global critical assets from cyber-disruption and operational failure.”

Jim Jaeger, Vice President, Cybersecurity Services
General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions

“In today’s disruptive and constantly evolving cyber threat landscape it’s imperative for public officials, policy makers, systems integrators and IT security experts to engage in collaborative initiatives to improve our cybersecurity capabilities, both domestically and globally,” said Jim Jaeger, vice president of cybersecurity services at General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions. “This event will help to open up the cybersecurity conversation, cultivating a dialogue of information sharing between various communities to strengthen our cybersecurity infrastructure on both a national and local level.”

Significantly considering the public-private theme running through the whole forum, the event will take place in the capital’s Ronald Reagan Building - “the first federal building in Washington, D.C. designed for both governmental and private sector purposes”.
