Leading Security Provider Teams with MOFILM to Tap Into Creativity of Independent Filmmakers

Woburn, MA – July 7, 2011Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions, kicked off a video competition for aspiring filmmakers to create a short, two-minute film. Filmmakers are invited to creatively bring the concept of “The Best of Both Worlds” to life through video. The closing date for entries is July 18, 2011.

The competition is hosted in collaboration with MOFILM, the international video and film contest community of 30,000+ aspiring filmmakers. MOFILM works with global brands (i.e. Coca-Cola, Chevrolet and Microsoft) to showcase talent and create innovative new ideas. The competition winner will see their entry screened at the 2011 MOFILM awards in Chicago on August 4, 2011, and the winning entry will also be used online and through Kaspersky Lab’s social media channels. 

The winner will also receive a grand prize trip to Chicago with MOFILM, including travel and accommodation for two people as well as $8,000 in cash and two tickets to Lollapalooza 2011, one of the biggest arts and music festivals celebrating its 20th anniversary. Second prize receives $4,000, third $2,000, and fourth and fifth receive $1,000 each.

The “Best of Both Worlds” theme was chosen to reflect Kaspersky Lab’s unique approach to internet security:
