Kaspersky Lab has found that the number of crypto-ransomware attacks against the corporate sector has grown six-fold, surging from 27,000 between 2014 and 2015 to 158,000 between 2015 and 2016, according to data from the Kaspersky Security Network report. Ransomware attempted to encrypt the critical data of every tenth business-to-business user.
