More than a quarter of Android-based mobile device users know little to nothing about mobile malware, which could lead to the risk of data theft, loss of privacy and fraud, according to a new study by Kaspersky Lab and B2B International.

Kaspersky surveyed more than 11,100 people internationally between May and June 2014, and found 28 percent of mobile device users are not aware of the existence of mobile malware and other threats to their devices, making them prime targets for hackers and cybercriminals, according to Kaspersky. An additional 26 percent of those surveyed were aware of mobile threats but didn’t worry about being victims of cybercrime. Read more.
