On September 20, Kaspersky Lab will host CyberStarts Boston. The event, located at Convene Boston, aims to address an issue we highlighted in a recent study that showed some interesting statistics about the cybersecurity industry and its diversity.
Most notable from the survey is its finding that 78% of girls have never considered a career in cybersecurity. CyberStarts Boston will bring together industry leaders as well as students, business leaders, and industry professionals to discuss this gap in the industry and what can be done to address it.
The event will feature keynotes from Eva Galperin, director of cybersecurity at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), and Deidre Diamond, CEO and founder of CyberSN.com and the founder of brainbabe.org. There will also be networking opportunities and expert panels such as “Advancing Diversity in Cybersecurity” and “Female Leadership in the Workforce.”
