New Executives Leverage Diverse Backgrounds to Further Drive North American Market Growth
Woburn, MA – November 15, 2007 – Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of Internet threat management solutions that protect against viruses, spyware, hackers and spam, today announced two key appointments to mark a significant expansion of its senior marketing team. Senior Director of Product Marketing Jeff Aliber, and Senior Marketing Director Ruth Swanson, will both leverage diverse backgrounds to further drive the Company’s brand recognition and education to the market about Internet threats and cybercrime.
The new appointments are as follows:
- Jeff Aliber will be responsible for driving go-to-market activities for existing and emerging products, and will help to define Kaspersky’s product strategy and roadmap for the Americas in his role as senior director of product marketing. He brings more than twenty years of worldwide experience in product marketing and management, product strategy, and strategic alliances, with the last 9 years focused on IT security products and services. Jeff joins Kaspersky from McAfee, where he was director of product marketing for risk & compliance management.
- Ruth Swanson will drive brand awareness through a variety of marketing programs and thought leadership programs in her role as senior marketing director. Ruth brings more than two decades of consumer marketing experience, including most recently spending a decade at Dunkin’ Donuts where she led internal and external sales promotion teams to develop breakthrough national and regional programs to drive brand awareness and product sales. Ruth also brings 13 years of advertising agency experience, having held positions at Wells Rich Greene BDDP, DMB&B and Arnold Worldwide.
