A new report from Kaspersky Lab shows that cybercriminals are shifting from cheap DDoS attacks to more complex and focused ones. In its quarterly DDoS Intelligence report, Kaspersky Lab said that there was a nearly fourfold increase in the number of DDoS attacks. “Only a highly professional anti-DDoS solution with an intelligent junk-filtering algorithm is capable of detecting genuine user requests from the general flow. That's why companies, especially those whose business depends on the availability of online services, can no longer rely solely on the capabilities of an Internet provider,” said Evgeny Vigovsky, head of Kaspersky DDoS Protection.
