Question: The key file that I received for my Kaspersky Lab product is not working on the new 7.0 version.
The new 7.0 version must be activated with an activation code and will not accept Key files made prior to March of 2006. You can have a new activation code made to replace your key file by submitting a request to support at http://usa.kaspersky.com/support/home-support-case.php
*note* this process may take several days as we are transferring over from the 6.0 product to the 7.0 product. Do not attempt the installation of 7.0 till you receive a new activation code from us.

The proper steps for installing version 6.0 on top of version 7.0 are as follows:
Download your version 7.0 software from our website here
Save the file to your computer
Exit out of your current 6.0 version on your computer:
Right mouse select the Kaspersky “K” in the bottom right hand corner of the screen
Left mouse select “exit” from the pop-up window
Verify that the “K” disappears from the system tray
Double mouse click on the 7.0 installation file to begin the install

The customer ID and password are not necessary to proceed with the installation. Simply leave these fields blank and continue with your installation.
