Kaspersky Lab wishes you and your families a safe and happy holiday.
All Kaspersky Lab customers can upgrade the current version of their software to the latest one for free, as long as they have a valid activation code and time remaining on their license. If you have Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 on your computer, you can upgrade to Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. If you have Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0, you can upgrade to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009.
Please note: Your activation code for Kaspersky Internet Security will only work on future versions of Kaspersky Internet Security, not Kaspersky Anti-Virus and vice versa.
You Will Need:
You should now have the latest version of the software on your computer. If you have any problems when upgrading, please visit our Support section. From here you can browse our knowledge base, open live chat with a support representative, or open a case.
During activation, I am asked for a customer ID and Password. What is this and do I need it?
You do not need a customer ID and Password to activate the software. If you do not enter in this information, you will be asked to register your product in the next screen. An email will be sent to the email address you enter with a new ID and Password. This is used to access your Personal Cabinet.
What is the Personal Cabinet and how do I access it?
The Personal Cabinet is where your account information is saved online for you to access in case you have lost your activation code or need to change your registered email address. You can log in to this here: https://support.kaspersky.com/en/PersonalCabinet
My software displays a license number. Can I use that to activate the new version of the software?
The license number is different than an activation code and will not work on the software.
