Kaspersky Lab America's Team
As a Kaspersky Lab customer, you may upgrade to our latest version at no cost, as long as you have time remaining on your existing license.
If you have a previous version of Kaspersky Internet Security, you can upgrade to Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.
If you have a previous version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus, you can upgrade to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010.
Please note the licenses are not cross-compatible, meaning you cannot activate Kaspersky Internet Security with a Kaspersky Anti-Virus activation code, or vice versa.
For a smooth upgrade experience, be sure to check that you have:
I cannot find my activation code. Where should I look for it?
Check the CD sleeve or order email for the code. If you activated your software before 2009, check your Personal Cabinet for the code.
My existing installation shows a License number. Can I use that to activate the new installation?
No, the license number is different from the activation code and cannot be used to activate. Please submit a case to Customer Service with this info before removing your currently installed software.
The new installation process is saying I have incompatible software. How can I remove it?
Use the removal tool for the incompatible program if you have already removed it in the Control Panel. Check out Installation Help page for links to removal tools to help clean out leftovers.
After I installed the new version, I can't get on the Internet. The only way I can get online is to right-click on the Kaspersky K in the lower right corner and choose Exit. What can I do?
Norton leftovers can cause this issue, even when you have correctly removed Norton in the Control Panel. Running the Norton Removal Tool and rebooting should resolve the problem.
