Access denied message appears when trying to open www.google.com. How can I resolve the problem?

Concerning to:
  • Kaspersky Internet Security 2009
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009
  • Problem: When trying to open www.google.com on a computer with the installed Kaspersky Lab’s product version 2009 the following message might appear:

Resolution: In order to resolve the problem you are recommended to use one of the following workarounds:

    Workaround 1. Update Anti-Virus database.

    • Open the application main window
    • In the left part of the window click the Update link
    • In the right part of the window click the Start update button
    • Wait until the update process is over

    Workaround 2. Product upgrade.

This problem occurs only in the Kaspersky Lab’s products version 8.0.0.357. If version 8.0.0.357 is installed on your computer, you are recommended to upgrade the version:

    • download latest version 8.0.0.506 from the Kaspersky Lab’s official site http://www.kaspersky.com/productupdates
    • run the downloaded file
    • install the latest version “over the top” of the currently installed version
    • once the installation process is over, restart your computer

Kaspersky Lab apologizes for the inconveniences.

InformationThe dialog windows for Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 are the same, but with corresponding product names and the number of Protection components.
