Before activating the product, make sure the system date is set correctly on your PC.

Having copied the files the Setup Wizard suggests activating the copy of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0\Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 the following way: 

• Activate using the activation code – requires entering 20-charset activation code. For successful activation your computer must be connected to Internet. In this case the Setup Wizard downloads and installs the license key file automatically. 
• Activate trial version – the Setup Wizard downloads and installs a key file which is valid for 30 days. For successful activation your computer must be connected to Internet. The trial version is fully functional. When the trial key expires update of anti-virus databases is not available.
• Apply existing license key – add a key file which has not expired. This option suits users who switch from products version 6.0 to version 7.0 if the key file was received from the activation page. 
• Activate later – skip activation on this step. Databases can be updated immediately after activation is complete.

In the figure below you can see how to activate the product using the activation code. Fill in all fields and click Next to continue.

Activation code should be entered from the keyboard using Latin letters ONLY!

If you have not been registered in the Personal Cabinet and you do not have your Customer ID and Password, in this case the fields Customer ID and Password might be skipped. Once the Next button is clicked you will be suggested to fill in three mandatory fields: Email, Country and City. Fill in the three fields and click Next to continue the activation process.

The Setup Wizard will connect to the Kaspersky Lab server and will download a license key file.

Once the key file is downloaded License key info window is displayed. The window contains the following information: owner, key number, and license type and license expiration date. You will be mailed your Customer ID and Password to enter the Personal Cabinet to the mail address you have given.

The dialog windows for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 and Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 are the same but with the corresponding product names.
