Activate Kaspersky Password Manager
Once you have successfully installed Kaspersky Password Manager, you should activate your product. You have two options. 1) Click Enter your License Key now or within the next 30 days to activate the commercial license, or, 2) Click Finish to activate the trial version of the program.
Once you have completed the configuration process, an information window may appear, recommending that you disable the Internet Explorer password manager. Click Disable. You may now start using Kaspersky Password Manager.
The trial version of Kaspersky Password Manager is fully-functional for 30 days.
After the 30-day trial, the following features will not be accessible:
- Adding a new account
- Password creation using the password generator
- Creating and updating a portable version
- Caption button functions
- Restoring and importing of accounts, but you will be able to export accounts as text to a text file
After 45 days, all features will cease to function, though you will still be able to export accounts as text to a text file.
Once you have clicked Enter your License Key now or within the next 30 days to activate the commercial license, you will see the following screen.
Enter your License Key in the Enter the License Key here field. Your License Key is a unique set of characters that comes in 6 blocks of 6, separated by a hyphen (-), for a total of 36 characters. Example: XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX. Each block of 6 characters can be a combination of letters or numbers.
You will see a message, thanking you for activating Kaspersky Password Manager. Click OK.
