2008 demonstrated that the era of epidemics is already history. That era was characterized by a large number of worms, initially distributed via email and later via network attacks, thus causing global epidemics. Today, rootkits, gaming malware, and attacks on networking sites are just the beginning. In this article, we’ll focus on forecasts for 2009 and the migration to new ways for malware to evolve.
