Woburn, MA –February 7, 2013 – Kaspersky Lab has won two prestigious awards in AV-Test’s end-of-year summary for 2012. Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 won Best Protection 2012 and Best Repair 2012 from this independent, European-based security test organization.

Kaspersky Lab 2012 Performance in AV-Test Evaluations
Throughout 2012, Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 produced outstanding performances in complex assessments carried out by AV-Test. On five occasions it was the outright winner. The Kaspersky Lab protection technologies included in the corporate security solution successfully detected and removed new and unknown threats, delivering consistently impressive results in the two most important groups of tests – Protection and Repair. It comes as little surprise that when AV-Test summed up its 2012 results, it honored Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 with two major awards - Best Protection 2012 and Best Repair 2012.  

In January 2013, Kaspersky Lab announced Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, which replaces Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 as the company’s flagship B2B security product.  Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business includes the same award-winning security tools evaluated in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8, and the new version includes additional enhancements such as Mobile Device Management, and Encryption.  Kaspersky Lab looks forward to defending its titles in AV-Tests 2013 testing.
