Kaspersky Lab North America Again Receives Best of Woburn Award, Joins Woburn Hall of Fame

Woburn, MA – May 20, 2014 – Kaspersky Lab North America has received the 2014 Best of Woburn Award in the Computer Consultant category from the Woburn Award Program for the third consecutive year. This distinction has qualified Kaspersky Lab for the 2014 Woburn Business Hall of Fame. The Woburn Award Program identifies companies that have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and have enhanced the positive image of small business through service to their community and customers.

Kaspersky Lab North America has demonstrated its commitment to giving back to the local community through the Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program and in-office donation drives. Within the office, employees gave back to the community through donating prom dresses to those in need through the “Belle of the Ball” donation drive, spending over $3,000 purchasing pies to raise money for Community Servings, a Massachusetts not-for-profit food and nutrition program and also collecting back-to-school supplies for children through a Ready for School donation drive. Kaspersky Lab North America employees also volunteered at the Greater Boston Food Bank, making over 6,100 meals. Employees helped to renovate paddocks at the Stone Zoo and made a $1,500 donation to the zoo.

Kaspersky Lab North America also participates in the Building Impact Connect Program, a program for corporate volunteer opportunities, and recently earned the Gold Impact Award for meeting and surpassing the required volunteer efforts.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2014 Woburn Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Woburn Award Program and data provided by third parties.

Chris Doggett, Managing Director
Kaspersky Lab North America
“This award is a testament to two of our most important commitments: community involvement and customer service. At Kaspersky we encourage our employees to participate in various volunteer initiatives inside and outside of the office. This is so important to us, in fact, that we build volunteerism into our corporate values, as well as allow employees to take time off work for volunteer initiatives. Woburn is a great community to work in and be involved in and we’re committed to doing our part to give back.”
