Former Symantec Executive Justin Priestley Joins Kaspersky Lab to Lead Consumer Sales in the Americas
WOBURN, MA--(Marketwire - July 30, 2008) - Kaspersky Lab, a leading provider of Internet security solutions for businesses and consumers, today announced a key addition to its management team with the appointment of Justin Priestley as senior vice president of consumer sales for Kaspersky Americas. Joining Kaspersky from Symantec, Justin brings more than a decade of experience in the security market and will take the helm of the Company's consumer business.
While at Symantec, Justin served in several key sales positions, including vice president of global OEM and ISP sales and vice president of consumer sales, Americas, where he managed and grew Symantec's consumer business to more than $1 billion USD annually. He was also instrumental in building Symantec's Latin American retail business. Prior to Symantec, Justin held senior sales positions at Artisoft and Ingram Micro.
Within two short years, Kaspersky has skyrocketed from a relatively unknown brand in North America to the number three position in consumer electronics and office supply retail sales, according to data from the NPD Group. The company has built out extensive retail and online distribution for its Internet security products and is now positioned to fully leverage the broad availability of these products. Justin brings the breadth of consumer experience to further drive momentum and market share throughout the Americas region. Kaspersky currently offers several consumer security solutions, including Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Anti-Virus. The Company plans to release its latest 2009 versions of both products in the beginning of August.
