OPSWAT and Kaspersky Lab Partner to Add Kaspersky Anti-Virus to Metascan

The partnership makes Kaspersky Anti-Virus available in Metascan 16, giving customers the strength of this industry-leading anti-malware engine in a powerful multi-scanning solution.

Woburn, MA – December 10, 2014 – OPSWAT and Kaspersky Lab today announced that Kaspersky Anti-Virus is now included in OPSWAT’s robust multi-scanning technology, Metascan. Metascan is a powerful and flexible network security solution that provides the capability to detect and prevent threats, both known and unknown, using multiple anti-malware engines.

With over 450,000 new malicious programs emerging daily, almost no anti-virus product can offer a 100% guarantee against all cyber-attacks, even with technologies that protect against 0-day threats. So for organizations with enhanced security needs, using multiple anti-malware engines is an effective option to increase malware detection rates. 

The addition of Kaspersky Anti-Virus to Metascan’s supported engines provides customers with the highest security requirements an additional option for protecting their networks.
