Woburn, MA – January 10, 2014 -- Kaspersky Lab North America is the recipient of the 2013 Best of Woburn Award in the Computer Consultant category by the Woburn Award Program. Each year, the Woburn Award Program identifies companies that have achieved exceptional success in their local community and have enhanced the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

Throughout the year, Kaspersky Lab North America has encouraged its employees to contribute to the local community in various ways including an employee Volunteer Paid Time Off (VTO) program and in-office donation drives. During the 2013 VTO program, employees spent time cleaning the Mystic River and volunteering at the Greater Boston Food Bank and the Stone Zoo. The in-office drives included a back to school drive to collect items for needy children and a holiday “Adopt a Family” program and toy drive. These programs among others helped contribute to the award recognition.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Woburn Award Program and data provided by third parties.
