Woburn, MA –January 13, 2014 - Kaspersky Lab is pleased to announce that Kaspersky Internet Security 2014, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business and Kaspersky Small Office Security produced the best results in the latest round of Dennis Technology Labs quarterly independent testing (Oct-Dec 2013) in their respective categories. The success of Kaspersky Lab’s products in all three categories secured an AAA rating from the independent testing lab.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 scored 1030 points out of a possible 1048, the best performance of all nine competing solutions in the test category for home products. It successfully protected the test system from 99 out of 100 malicious samples and scored the maximum 740 points in the Legitimate Software Ratings scenario that measures the rate of false positives for legitimate applications. Competing solutions averaged just 662 in their test results.

Kaspersky Small Office Security and Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business were also winners in the small business and corporate security categories respectively. In both cases, Kaspersky products detected 99 threats out of 100 with no false positives. The solutions scored 1029 points from a possible 1048 – the only products to achieve such a high result.

The tests were conducted on a system running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 SP1. The security solutions for home users were checked using the Home Premium version, and corporate and small business solutions were tested using Windows Professional.

Kaspersky Lab products regularly demonstrate their effectiveness against cyber-threats in independent testing. Last December Kaspersky Internet Security beat all competitors in malware detections during testing by AV-Comparatives. And earlier in November the AV-TEST laboratory named Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business the best corporate security solution.

More details about the test results and testing methodology can be found on Dennis Technology Lab’s website.
