Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 Blocks All Internet Attacks in Independent Test

Woburn, MA – October 8, 2013 -Kaspersky Lab today announces that its flagship product for home users, Kaspersky Internet Security 2014, blocked 100 percent of Internet attacks during the independent Whole Product Dynamic Real-World Protection Test carried out by the respected research laboratory, AV-Comparatives.

For this monthly test, AV-Comparatives selected 443 malicious samples, including exploits, which might easily be found on infected sites or in malicious email attachments. According to the research laboratory, the selected samples represent the most common ways of infecting user computers.

During testing, Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 successfully neutralized 100 percent of the threats it encountered. Only two other products from the more than 20 leading protection solutions could match this result. Each product was tested on a Windows 7 64-bit SP1 operating system equipped with current versions of popular software such as Adobe Flash and Oracle Java.

Kaspersky Internet Security regularly achieves high scores in AV-Comparatives testing. For example, the solution recently ranked first in the AV-Comparatives Anti-Phishing Test. Also, in 2012 the testing organization named Kaspersky Internet Security one of the best computer protection products.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2014, which was released in mid-August, provides comprehensive protection against Internet threats such as phishing, spam, and exploits, through features including Safe Money, Automatic Exploit Prevention and the unique Trusted Applications mode. The security solution also includes Parental Control functionalities for customizable child safety.
