Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 Earns Highest Award in Leading Independent Test

Woburn, MA – July 23, 2013 - Kaspersky Lab announces today that Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 received the top AAA award in the Home Anti-Virus Protection April – June 2013 test, conducted by the independent testing organization, Dennis Technology Labs. According to the test results, Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 was one of the most accurate programs, earning the solution the highest award in the test.

The Kaspersky Lab solution returned an effectiveness level of 97 percent, scoring 388 out of a possible 400 points. The effectiveness of the solutions in the test was determined by the ability to react to threats in real-time, and to find and block threats during antivirus scanning. The number of false positives was also taken into account. The results showed that Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 missed only one threat (while others missed 5.7 on average) and returned just one false positive (average 3.5). Dennis Technology Labs used 100 of the most urgent malware samples which were currently in use ‘in the wild’ at the time of testing.

This is the second quarter in a row that Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 has received the highest classification by Dennis Technology Labs in the Home Anti-Virus Protection test.
