-- RSA Conference, March 2-4, 2010, Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA --

For security professionals, the annual RSA Conference in the USA is the best opportunity to learn about the latest trends, tools and techniques to keep businesses safe, and ensure their professional skill-sets up-to-date. At the Company's show-floor booth, Kaspersky Lab will host "Threatpost Live," a daily live discussion between Threatpost editors Ryan Naraine and Dennis Fisher. Each day, they will provide new insight into what 2010 holds in store for the IT security industry, and commentary on the biggest news at the show. Kaspersky Lab will also hold multiple presentations each day on how to prevent digital pollution in the workplace. The presentations will examine the deluge of threats that businesses face on a daily basis, and the best way to combat those threats to ensure safety across the network.

These daily discussions will give RSA Conference attendees a chance to break from the proverbial fire hose of information offered at keynotes and tutorial sessions, and provide an easily digested perspective on the topics and trends that matter most.

Kaspersky Lab invites all attendees to the following presentations:

WHAT: The Relevance of Anti-Malware Testing
WHEN
: Tuesday, March 2nd at 3:40 PM, Orange Room 301
Kaspersky Lab Senior Antivirus Researcher Roel Schouwenberg will join a panel of experts to discuss current anti-malware testing methodologies. More teams, organizations and private citizens are trying to test anti-malware products, but the test results for the same product often vary wildly. How valuable are these tests if everyone isn't playing by the same rules?

To better clarify the tests, methodologies and results, the security software industry itself has combined its efforts to bolster the Anti-Malware Testing Standards Organization. This organization was built to provide a universal set of testing standards, which will result in clearer, easily-compared test results for the average reader. This panel will look at the testing from all perspectives and points of view, making it as broad as possible.

The panel also includes: Neil Rubenking, PC Magazine; Andreas Marx, AV-Test; Righard Zwienenberg, Norman; and moderator Larry Bridwell, AVG
