Ryan Naraine, Head of the U.S. Global Research & Analysis Team at Kaspersky Lab, writes about the desperation that hospitals and other companies feel when trying to function after a ransomware infection and the difficult decision regarding paying a ransom. Experts are predicting that ransomware users will partner with APT operators to attack global companies and surpass strong security teams, increasing the need for companies to implement a multi-layered security approach to avoiding ransomware attachments.
