According to Kaspersky Lab, a Russian computer security company, around 28 percent of all attacked mobile devices run Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. In a detailed report published by the company last week, it also revealed that Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich was the second most commonly attacked operating system, with over 22 percent blocked attempts. Kaspersky Lab says that it detected and neutralized a total of 1,347,231,728 threats in Q3 this year and that 56 percent of exploits blocked in Q3 utilized Java vulnerabilities.
