Local computer expert Jason Taylor of Computer Professional Services in Granite Bay and Roseville, discovered a Trojan downloaded onto his computer from simply reading a trusted, well branded news website.

Industry nomenclature for this type of infection is called “drive-by download”. Taylor knew a Trojan was present because he received an “anti-viral” pop up, that looks convincingly legitimate.

According to Taylor, his Dad experienced the same thing on his computer while surfing trusted websites.
