Community Involvement

Volunteer Time-Off (VTO) Policy

This policy gives all full-time employees 3 days of paid time off per calendar year. This program has been established to give Kaspersky Employees the opportunity to donate their time to serve their surrounding community.

VTO is available during regularly scheduled work hours. Approved organizations are prominent in the community and are known to provide improved quality of life, meet emergency needs, and improve relationships between business and the community.

Kaspersky Lab North America has been awarded Building Impact’s Gold Impact Award for 2013 for the second consecutive year. This award is designated to companies who are committed to volunteerism and strengthening their local communities. Kaspersky Lab is honored to win this award and proud to have a positive impact on the community.

Good Sports

Kaspersky Lab will be making a $500 donation to Good Sports for every extra point kicked by New England.

For the fifth straight year, Kaspersky Lab is proud to partner with 98.5 The Sports Hub, Patriots Radio Network to sponsor the Patriots post-game show. Kaspersky’s sponsorship programs have always included a charitable component, and this year, we will donate $500 for every extra point scored by New England during the regular NFL season to Good Sports.

Good Sports is a national charity based in Boston whose mission is to increase youth participation in sports, fitness, and recreational programs by targeting one of the major obstacles limiting participation: access to sports equipment. Good Sports distributes sports equipment, footwear, and apparel to community organizations offering programs to disadvantaged youth helping to lay the foundation for healthy, active lifestyles. In partnership with Community Health Centers, Good Sports provides necessary fitness equipment to children being treated in healthy weight, diabetes, or other obesity related medical programs.

Since 2003 Good Sports has,

  • Provided $5.7 million worth of equipment
  • Impacted more than 300,000 kids
  • Served nearly 750 youth programs

In past years, we ran “Touchdowns for Technology,” a program that allowed us to award 234 computers across 64 New England area schools. Students, families and staff won computers for their schools for each touchdown scored by the Patriots during the regular NFL season.
